Princess Claire visits our weekend school!

On Saturday, May 13, Princess Claire visited our bilingual weekend school in Schaerbeek on behalf of the Queen Paola Foundation. She did so to express her support for our important mission: providing opportunities for young people from disadvantaged neighborhoods to reach their full potential and, in turn, strengthen the society of tomorrow.

The Foundation has also been supporting our other bilingual branch in Molenbeek since its inception. The visit of the princess had a broader significance: namely, investing in the future of young people and creating a more inclusive society through empowerment. Curious about what the TADA Saturday with Princess Claire looked like? Read on!

Experiencing a TADA day in person

Upon arrival, Princess Claire was warmly welcomed by the children of the weekend school and our team. Among those present were Pieter De Witte, Managing Director of TADA, and Jean Mossoux, entrepreneur, author, and member of TADA’s Board of Directors. The acting mayor of Schaerbeek, Cécile Jodogne, also attended, as did the alderwoman for youth and Dutch-speaking culture, Adelheid Byttebier.

Throughout the day, Princess Claire toured the branch and attended workshops of various classes in both Dutch and French. She observed the young people's immersion in all kinds of professional fields. The princess got hands-on during a sports workshop on training and physiotherapy, gave the starting signal for a wheelchair race in a workshop on sports for people with disabilities, and piloted drones during a construction workshop.

Moreover, all the children present had the chance to ask their questions to Princess Claire, who responded with enthusiasm. She herself expressed being very impressed by the work of TADA's weekend school and the passion of both the youth and the guest teachers.

The Princess and the Youth

The interaction between the princess and the children was a beautiful metaphor for the bridge that TADA creates between the 'leaders' of our society and the employees of tomorrow. By investing in the future of our young people and providing them with the means to acquire skills and knowledge, we are creating a more inclusive society where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. The princess's expressed support and appreciation during her visit to the weekend school confirms this. We sincerely thank the Queen Paola Foundation for its long-term support and Princess Claire for her visit.
