The first alumna to start her career... at TADA!

In 2015, Natalia was 10 years old and began her three-year journey at TADA’s weekend school in Anderlecht. Eight years later, she became the first alumna to be hired as an employee at TADA, working as an educational coordinator. Natalia is now responsible for a class of children at TADA’s weekend school. This is a perfect example of how TADA grows with its young people and involves them in its operations to create an organization “for and by the young.”

During their three years at the weekend school, TADA’s young participants get a glimpse of what “the future” might hold through practical workshops where they explore various professional sectors: law, mechanics, journalism, medicine, hospitality, and more. Participation in these workshops, led by passionate volunteer professionals, helps them broaden their future prospects, develop a sense of belonging in society, boost their self-confidence, and increase their motivation at school.

After three years at the weekend school, the children graduate. In a festive atmosphere, 234 youngsters graduated this Saturday, June 22nd, surrounded by their families, the TADA staff, and several partners who support our organization.

But their journey doesn’t end there: they now join the alumni network, which already includes 1,500 TADA youngsters. Through this “for life” network, TADA continues to offer its youngsters support, such as access to a homework place, a mentoring system, and various activities. Recently, TADA also began offering student job opportunities through its partner companies.

As for our alumna Natalia, she has always remained active within the weekend school, providing volunteer assistance as an alumna before working there as a job student. At the very beginning of her professional career, she is excited about the perspectives ahead: “I am very happy to start my career at TADA. Just as TADA has had and continues to have an impact on me, I will be able to, in turn, have a positive impact on the youngsters.”
